Branch View Dairy was looking to increase their herd size. This meant expanding their existing waste storage facility by approximately three million gallons. The additional capacity will ensure there is adequate storage available for the increased waste production as well as an increase in the number of storage days available in the event the facility cannot be completely emptied in the fall, or if there is excessive precipitation. Once completed, the waste storage facilities will cover a total of 2.9 acres. All storm water runoff from the surrounding area is diverted around the storage facilities; therefore, no additional volume is required for storm runoff.
