The Town of Oconto, located in Oconto County, retained Robert E. Lee & Associates (REL) to help them with the planning, development, and construction of a new town hall. The existing town hall was small, obsolete, in poor condition and needed to be replaced. REL helped the town with a needs study and helped them through the planning process. The new town hall was constructed at the corner of STH 22 and Cream City Road. The 2,430 square-foot structure included a large meeting room, offices for town officials, storage, and a catering room. REL completed the survey, site design, storm water and erosion control plan, building design, bidding, and construction oversight for the project.

Robert E. Lee & Associates teamed with Design Studio etc. to develop the Master Plan for a 23-acre park located in the Village of Bellevue. Vanden Heuvel Park is located on the south side of STH 172 and west side of CTH XX (Bellevue Street). The Village is granting a non-profit group (Laura and Peter Mossakowski Dog Park LTD) a “T-shaped” portion of the park encompassing about 6.5 acres for the construction of a dog park.

The dog park area includes a driveway and parking area, large dog play area, small dog play area, and a children’s play area. The dog play areas feature lawn areas outlined by native grasses, dog agility features, water splash pad, central gathering area, shade structures, trees, and landscaping. The children’s play area and dog agility area will feature natural elements such as rocks and logs. The plans also include amenities such as signage, dog refuse containers, picnic tables, and benches. In addition to the dog park, the Master Plan includes a trailhead facility, recreational/hiking trails, kayak launch, wetland boardwalk, and a pedestrian bridge over the East River to connect to the Village of Allouez.

Robert E. Lee & Associates prepared the plans and specifications for the construction of a 1,000 square-foot concession stand/restroom for the Ball Park in Little Suamico. The concrete block building consisted of men’s and women’s restrooms with “vandal proof” stainless steel fixtures and a concession area for use during baseball tournaments or other gatherings.

Development of Centennial Centre at Hobart began with an ambitious plan to begin planning and construction of the cornerstone development for the Village of Hobart. With a motivated staff, the Village, along with Robert E. Lee & Associates, worked with varying other parties to develop a master plan and begin construction on the 600-acre development. This project was first of its kind for the Village of Hobart, that required coordination and communication between multiple agencies, including WisDOT, WPS, and other utility companies, local property owners, developers, and other concerned stakeholders.

Eight major phases have occurred since the initial bid was solicited in April 2009. Major phases included construction of sanitary sewer and water main transmission lines from off-site areas to the project beginning. Additional phases included the construction of the underground utilities for the new roadway network, as well as 250 residential lots in neighborhood communities known as Cobblestone at Centennial Centre, Fieldstone Estates, and Woodfield Prairie. Storm sewer and a complex series of detention ponds and infiltration basins are located throughout the development. Major road construction included the bidding and construction of a four-lane boulevard, multi-use trail, two roundabouts, and concrete streets. Additional details such as landscaping, colored and stamped concrete, and decorative lights were added to help identify this signature development. 4,000 lineal feet of multi-use trail is currently under construction that will help loop the development and make it a true live/work environment.
